Pardeeville Triathlon

When: July 11, 2015. Transition opens at 6:45am, race starts at 8:00am.

Where: Chandler Park, Pardeeville WI

The Pardeeville Triathlon- the third race in the Wisconsin Tri Series- provides a gently rolling bike course and a swim along the shore of Park Lake.  The spectator-friendly 5K course weaves through the town of Pardeeville after a loop around the park. Each athlete will receive a technical t-shirt, a safe course with an experience water safety team on the swim marked by large highly-visible buoys.  Pre-race water and post-race refreshments will be served.

The course will be accurately measured and well-marked, and the race will be chip-timed by SMA timing.  Transition will be secure and professional bike SAG will be provided by Trek Bicycles in transition and out on the course.

Race Distance:    1/4 mile swim    15 mile bike    5K run



Swim: The swim takes place at Park Lake beach and follows the shore for 1/4 mile. There is a water safety team on the swim course if anyone needs assistance. NO swimmers will be allowed flotation devices. You need to be able to swim 1/4 mile in open water comfortably.

BikeTake a left out of transition. Follow park exit, and turn left onto Lake Street, turn right on Hey P. Follow Hwy P until you reach Hwy SS. Take a right onto Hwy SS and follow Hwy SS until you reach Hwy G, take right onto Hwy G. Take a right onto Twitchel Rd, then take a left onto E. Bush Road. Take right onto Schwantz Rd, take left onto Lake St. Take right on Chandler Park Drive back into the transition area. The Bike course will be clearly marked with signs and volunteers will be on the course. For a map of the bike course, click here or here for a pdf.

RunTake a right out of transition and follow one loop around the park on Chandler Park Dr. Take right on Lake Street, left on Third Street, right on Chestnut Street, left on Spring Street, left on East LaFollette, right on Sanborn street, left on East LaFollette Street, left on Oak Street, go to the second stop sign and take  a right on Chestnut and go until the turn around. You'll come back on Chestnut, take a left on Oak Street, right on LaFollette, right on Sanborn, right on LaFollette, right on Spring Street, right on Chestnut Street, left on Third Street, right on Lake Street, left on Chandler Park Drive. The finish line will be on the left hand side of the park's exit. The run course will be clearly marked and volunteers will be present on the course. Transition AreaTransition is located in the baseball diamond in Chandler Park. Athletes should have their transition area set up at least a 1/2 hour before the race start.

Race Preview Clinic:

Sunday, July 5, 2015 - 7:30am-10:00am

The Pardeeville Triathlon pre-race preview will be July 5, 2014. Led by Brandon Nguyen of Endurance House Madison. The preview clinic will begin at the 7:30am and go approximately until 10:00am.  Clinic participants should gather at Park Lake beach in Chandler Park, Pardeeville, WI.   The clinic will include a detailed look at each part of the swim-bike-run race course, talk about a race day gear check-list as well as cover tips for speedy transitions, pre-race preparation

and developing your race-day routine. So, bring your race day gear and great questions!


Packet Pick-up*:

Early packet pick-up will be available:

  • When: 7/10/2015, 3-6 PM
  • Where: Trek Bicycle Store of Madison, West Location. 8108 Mineral Point Rd., Madison WI 53719

On race morning, packet pick-up will start at 6:45 am at the shelter in Chandler Park. 

Chips will be handed out on race morning and body marking will take place race morning at the entry to transition.

Wetsuit Use and Water Temperatures:

We often are asked about water temperatures and wetsuit use.  Race Day Events follows the USAT Water Temperature Recommendations (below). We do require wetsuits if the water temperature is below 65 degrees.  These decisions are made based on temperatures taken on the day of the race.


Refund and Inclement Weather Policy:

Race Day Events and the WI Tri Series has a strict NO REFUND policy. Refunds will not be issued for any reason, including race cancelation due to inclement weather. The race director reserves the right to cancel or alter the race and its course at any point in time to preserve racer safety.
