Aquathon Series - Madison

Join us for the Fleet Feet Aquathon Series, a perfect for mid-week training opportunity This chip-timed race is a 1000 meter swim and 5K run. These Thursday-night races held at Warner Park Beach in Madison are a perfect way to keep triathlon fit throughout summer. Series prizes go to the top 3 finishers in each age group!
When and Where:
Warner Park Beach - Please note that the aquathons do not take place in the part of Warner park by the Mallards stadium. To find the race site, you need to go around the park on either side. See below:
Individual: $20.00 per Event or $80.00 for Entire Series (Series Registration includes T-shirt).
Relay: $30.00 per Event or $100 for the entire series (Relays are two people – #1 Swim and #2 Run. Series Registration includes T-shirt)

The 1000 meter swim starts at Warner Park Beach with a mass start. The course is triangular with turns marked by two large buoys. The transition area is located in the grass near the beach house. The start to the 5k is the south end of transition, near the entrance to the beach parking lot. The 5k course follows Woodward Avenue to Sheridan Drive. Runners enter Warner Park following the paved path. The run course is an out/back with the finish at the beach house.
Scoring is based on overall finish place. 1st place = 100 pts, 2nd place = 99 pts, etc. Fifteenth place is 85 pts. If you do not compete in an event, zero points are awarded. The final series score is based on the best 4 finishes out of the 5 events.
Top Three in each gender in the following categories: 19 & under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 & Over (Masters), Clydesdale (Men over 200 lbs), Athena (Women over 150 lbs)
Fastest Relay Team (Fastest relay from all 5 races)
In case of tie, the winner will be determined by:
1. Head to head total race points
2. Older participant
The overall series winners (both male and female) will receive wings and beer for a year from Quaker Steak and Lube - Middleton.
Top three overall finishers (male and female) will receive age group awards and sponsor goodies.
VOLUNTEER POINTS – participants that volunteer as course marshals, boat patrol, lifeguards, or traffic control will earn 50 points per event for up to two events. If you are interested in volunteering for an event please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
