Running Safety Tips

It snowed here this week, making it feel (a little prematurely) like winter has arrived. With winter, comes shorter days, which means there are a lot of night running articles posted. They're good safety reminders, but a lot of times they're a little incomplete. I found a pretty comprehensive list of safety tips for running not only at night but at all times of day. Enjoy!

Triterium Counts as a Triathlon for USAT Points!

Rainy Times at WTT . . . .

Thank you to everybody who raced AND everybody who volunteered this weekend at Wisconsin Triterium Triathlon. Despite the weather we had a blast! Results are posted, and official race photos will be posted by Focal Flame Photography soon as well! Thank you also to our sponsors who provided gift cards or products for awards Trek, Fleet Feet Sports Madison, Quaker Steak, GNC.

Exciting Week Ahead!

Busy, exciting week ahead for Race Day Events, LLC! The 2nd race of the Madison Aquathon Series is Thursday night at Warner Park, followed by the Wisconsin Triterium Triathlon on Sunday at Fireman's Park in Verona, and then the 2nd race of the Milwaukee Aquathon Series the following Thursday at Menomonee Park. Looking forward to seeing everyone out there, race season is officially here!

Inaugural Milwaukee Aquathon is tonight!

Looking forward to the inaugural Milwaukee Aquathon tonight, see you all at Menomonee Park! Not ideal weather, but us athletes like a challenge, right? Wetsuits are mandatory for tonight's race. Race begins at 7:15pm, on-site registration available at 6pm.

Aquathon Series is Underway!

We had a great turnout this past week at Warner Park for the kick-off of the Madison Aquathon Series, despite the chilly waters, thanks to those that came out! The inaugural Milwaukee Aquathon race is this Thursday, May 26th at Menomonee Park at 7pm. On-site registration begins at 6pm. Brookfield Chiropractic will be on hand doing spinal screenings using a program called Myovision. It is a Surface EMG (Electromyography). It measures the muscles on both sides of the spine to see if they are balanced and to see if there is high, moderate, or low activity. Hope to see you there!

Good Times at Mud Run!

Thank you to everyone who came out for the Spring Challenge edition of the Madison Mud Run! We hope you enjoyed the day. We're already brainstorming ways to make the Fall Challenge bigger and better. Photos and results are posted on the Mud Run web page. Thank you to all athletes, spectators, volunteers and sponsors, we couldn't do it without your help!
